How Bonded ADSL works
With bonded ADSL, it is possible to have up to four ADSL2+ lines working together, giving you greater reliability and increased bandwidth. This diagram illustrates a bonded ADSL solution with two ADSL2+ lines. This can be increased to four ADSL line.
1. Users are connected to the business broadband services as usual, able to access speeds of up to 8Mb download and 800kb upload on one ADSL2+ line.
2. All traffic flows via the router before being split across either 2, 3 or 4 high speed ADSL lines.
3. The data travels up the ADSL2+ lines, faster due to the multiple lines which provide more bandwidth and reduce the risk of congestion, navigating the Internet to their destination
4. The ADSL2+ lines are then bonded back together into one line and the data filters into the Wanstor data centre.
Using our bonded ADSL service provides you with:
- Greater resiliency
- Greater bandwidth
- Available as a fully managed solution
- Benefits from using the underlying ADSL architecture
